Government Degree College Kasganj,(U.P) was established in 2010 by the State Government of Uttar Pradesh as one of the pioneer institute of Higher Education with a vision to provide low cost higher quality education of Arts ,Science and Commerce at their doorsteps to the students of this urban primarily residing in rural area covering all category especially weaker sections of the society . This urban area of Uttar Pradesh was devoid of such higher education and at present is the only Government college of Art, Science and Commerce in this city with an aim of providing higher education at minimal economic cost through optimal utilization of available resources. The college has Co-Education system and the motto of this institution has been besides education, to inculcate moral values among the students and live up the expectations of good citizenship.
The college is affiliated to Raja Mahendra Pratap University Aligarh (U.P).Because of the college of Arts, Science and Commerce in Kasganj city affectionate relation between students and teachers and tradition of high quality education, it attracts students for higher education in friendly environment. Presently, there are three faculties of arts, Science and Commerce with a student, teaching staff and administrative/ technical/ Supporting staff. There is faculty of science with undergraduate programmes in Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. Faculty of Arts with undergraduate programmes in political science, Geography, History Philosophy, English, Hindi and Sanskrit. Faculty of Commerce with undergraduate.
